How do I share my location with someone?
Add them to a circle. Tap the circle pill at the top of the map, then + to create a circle or add people to one. Everyone in a circle sees each other on the map — there is nothing to start or stop for each trip.
Why isn't my location updating for other people?
Check two things. First, grant "Always" location permission: Settings → Grouppin → Location → Always — background updates cannot work without it. Second, look at Profile → Battery → Battery Use: on Battery saver your position is updated less often on purpose.
Where is my own location history?
Tap your avatar on the map, or tap yourself in the People hub. You'll get a day-by-day timeline of your stays and trips; use the day chips at the top to move between days.
A short walk wasn't recorded. Why?
Grouppin deliberately ignores movement it can't tell apart from GPS noise. Indoors especially, a stationary phone's reported position can wander by tens of metres, and recording that would fill your timeline with journeys you never took. Very short trips near where you were already standing are treated as part of that stay. Battery saver raises this threshold further.
How do I get told when someone arrives somewhere?
Tap the bell on the map to open Places & Alerts, save a place such as Home or Work, then add an alert rule for arrival, departure, or both.
Grouppin is using too much battery. What can I change?
Open Profile → Battery → Battery Use. Balanced is the default and suits most people. Battery saver updates less often and may miss short walks. Highest accuracy traces trips most precisely and uses the most power.
How do I stop sharing?
Leave the circle, or remove the person's location share. To stop all collection, revoke the location permission in Settings → Grouppin → Location.
How do I delete my account?
Open Profile, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. Confirm the prompt and your account and all associated data, including your location history, will be permanently deleted immediately.
